We are G.K. Switchgear Ltd (company number 01934531) whose registered office address is at 54 Colts Holm Road, Old Wolverton, Milton Keynes MK12 5QD.

This privacy policy relates to any details we may collect or hold about you when you place an order or have any dealings with us.

We may collect personal information about you when you contact us, send us feedback and purchase products. Where the entity purchasing products from us is a company or organisation the personal information we collect may relate to the individual within that company or organisation with whom we had dealings at that time.

We may share your name and delivery address with our third-party suppliers (such as carriers that we use). This data sharing enables them to deliver the goods you ordered to you.

Whether information has to be provided by you, and if so why

The provision of contact details and payment details are required from you to enable us to correctly process your order. We will inform you at the point of collecting information from you, whether you are required to provide the information to us.

All personal data that we collect is retained in the European Economic Area (EEA) and we do not transfer your personal information to any countries which are outside the EEA).

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file which is placed onto your device (eg computer, smartphone or other electronic device) when you use our website. The only cookies we use on our website are Google Analytics Tracking cookies.   Those cookie collect statistical information only and store this in an anonymised format.  Those cookies do not gather or store personal information in any way.

Keeping your personal information secure

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

This privacy policy was published on 25th May 2018 and last updated on 25th May 2018.
We may change this privacy policy from time to time, when we do the latest version will be published on our website and this clause will be updated to show the new date.
